Storm Surge: Adelaide Men Defeat Heat in Straight Sets

The Adelaide Storm claimed a 5-0 win over the visiting Canberra Heat to take a commanding perch on top of the Men’s competition ladder after round 4 of the Scape Australian Volleyball Super League.

The Lights Community and Sports Centre in Adelaide hosted the 2022 Men’s AVL Gold Medal re-match, with the home side reversing the result from last year while also setting themselves up as the favorites to take the inaugural Scape Super League Men’s title when the 2023 finals series in Bendigo comes around on the weekend of 16-17 September.

Brendan Clewes, Harrison Peacock, Nathan Roberts, and Sam Boehm were all exceptional for the Storm as they claimed the maximum number of competition points on offer (eleven) for winning all five sets and by winning by more than 20 rally points overall.

Only the fifth set was decided by less than 6 points as the Storm romped away 18-11, 18-10, 18-12, 18-6, 18-15.
